Water soluble rhodium and palladium complexes with diphenyl-m-sulfophenyl
phosphine, with addition of the basic promotors for rhodium system and
acidic promotors for palladium system, were used to create catalytic
systems for hydrogen generation by WGSR. The activity for the rhodium complexes
was as high as 6 turnovers per hour and that of the palladium complexes
was 10-15 turnover per hour at 90 C and 1 atm pressure of carbon monoxide.
